Flare Validator 02

Flare Validator 02

A validator is a node on the network that provides network security by validating transactions and blocks, and participating in the consensus process. This is a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the network by ensuring the validity of transactions and contributing to the addition of new blocks.

Validators also support Flare's enshrined data protocols, including the FTSO and Flare Data Connector, by providing trustless and decentralized data feeds.

Requirements

  • Minimum self-bond of 1M FLR.
  • Minimum stake duration 2 months.
  • Must have an uptime greater than 80% to be eligible for rewards.
Flare FDC

FDC

The Flare Data Connector (FDC) is an enshrined oracle on the Flare network designed to provide smart contracts with secure and verified data from external sources. It allows smart contracts to access and utilize data from other blockchains and the internet without needing to trust individual users or relying on external services for data validation.

We are running and maintaining the FDC suit on the Songbird and Flare networks. Our attestations can be viewed on Flare's System Explorers.

Requirements

  • Run and maintain Observation Nodes on the Bitcion, XRP, Doge, Ethereum, Flare, and Songbird networks.
  • Host and run the Verifiers for the Bitcion, XRP, Doge, Ethereum, Flare, and Songbird networks.
FTSO V2 Registration

FSP (FTSOv2)

The Flare Systems Protocol (FSP) is the core infrastructure for Flare Network, designed to support its enshrined data protocols like the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO) and the Flare Data Connector (FDC). It enables secure, efficient, and decentralized consensus through weighted voting by data providers, who are incentivized to participate by community-delegated tokens.

We are running and maintaining the FSP on the Songbird and Flare networks. This includes an in-house custom algorithm for feed price aggregation. Our price submissions can be viewed on Flare's System Explorers.

Requirements

  • Run the following components Flare System Client, C-chain Indexer, FTSO Client, Fast Updates Client, Feed Value Provider, FDC Client.
  • Provide a custom algorithm for price aggregation.
The Root Network Validator

The Root Network Validator

The Root Network, a layer-1 blockchain built on the Substrate framework, utilizes a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators play a crucial role in securing the network.

Our validator's address is 0xfffFfFFF0000000000000000000000000003a36A or the uglykitty.root RNS address can be used. We are open for staking at staking.therootnetwork.com

Requirements

  • Minimum self-bond of 100k ROOT.
  • Must have an uptime greater than 80% to be eligible for rewards and prevent slashing.

FTSO V1 on Flare Maintnet

FTSO V1 on Flare Maintnet

Sunset in favor of FTSOv2

FTSOv1, the initial iteration of the FTSO on the Flare mainnet, operated as an on-chain smart contract, providing updates for 18 data feeds every 180 seconds. It ensured decentralization and security by relying on a network of 100 data providers.

Requirements

  • Run a Flare Observation Node.
  • Run a PriceSubmitter for the 18 data feeds.
FTSO V1 on Songbird

FTSO V1 on Songbird

Sunset in favor of FTSOv2

FTSOv1, the initial iteration of the FTSO on the Songbird canary network, operated as an on-chain smart contract, providing updates for 18 data feeds every 180 seconds. It ensured decentralization and security by relying on a network of 100 data providers.

This was our introduction to Web3 and the first project done in this space.

Requirements

  • Run a Songbird Observation Node.
  • Run a PriceSubmitter for the 18 data feeds.
